Medication-assisted treatment is a form of addiction recovery involving therapy and medically supervised pharmaceutical care. Medications used in MAT are approved by the FDA and administered by a California addiction medicine specialist. Medication-assisted treatment is most effective for people struggling with treatment-resistant opioid addiction who desperately want to be sober but continue to relapse. When administered in a professional setting, our addiction treatment can allow people to abstain from powerful opioids like fentanyl and heroin.
